The Story

My idea for Barunder was born on a clear and windy summer morning at my family’s beloved summer home in beautiful Bohuslän.

 As tradition goes, there are many who take a morning swim in the waters of this little island; every morning, no matter the weather. After many years of watching from the sidelines, I joined in on this wonderful tradition and went every morning, hand in hand with my husband, to jump into the frigid and wavy Skagerak waters. Cold though those waters may be, the feeling afterwards is like sweet relief for both the body and the soul.

My philosophy

The idea of Barunder comes straight from my heart, like so many other decisions I make in life. It always speaks the truth. For me, it was important that I built my brand in this spirit.

I want whole heartedly to help contribute to a better environment for my future grandchildren. Therefore, I have chosen to produce all my bathrobes in organic, Fairtrade certified cotton.

It’s also important to give the people who make my products a better standard of living, so I pay living wages. Barunder is a quality product that will stay with you for years to come and become part of your own story; you are also part of doing good and creating a better world.

And I promise it warms the heart.
